Rianna Mayweather

Rianna Mayweather, medic aboard the Horizon in 2152

A medic was an individual trained in medicine who administered medical aid where needed. Doctors and nurses were examples of medics.

When Doctor Phlox offered his assistance in treating the wounded Captain Keene aboard the ECS Fortunate and first officer Matthew Ryan rejected it, Travis Mayweather told him that Phlox got a lot more experience than any freighter medic he knows. (ENT: "Fortunate Son")

Travis Mayweather's mother, Rianna, served as both medic and chief engineer of the ECS Horizon. (ENT: "Horizon")

Cutler served as a medic in-training during her time aboard Enterprise NX-01. It was in this capacity that she accompanied Dr. Phlox to the planet Valakis. (ENT: "Dear Doctor") In February 2152, Phlox nominated Cutler to take care of the crew's health during his planned hibernation, referring to her as a "capable medic". (ENT: "Two Days and Two Nights")

On the USS Enterprise, medics were part of the medical department. (TOS: "The Man Trap", "The Naked Time")

After Q froze Lieutenant Torres on the bridge of the USS Enterprise-D, Captain Jean-Luc Picard asked Lieutenant Commander Data to call medics. (TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint")

Tom Paris was initially volunteered to be a field medic aboard USS Voyager in 2371, due in part to the fact that the Doctor was confined to Sickbay, and that he had two semesters of biochemistry at Starfleet Academy. (VOY: "Parallax") Later that year, when the Doctor took his first away mission onto the holodeck, Paris was reassigned as the ship's "temporary medic" during the Doctor's absence. (VOY: "Cathexis") By 2376, he was considered to be the ship's "chief medic". (VOY: "Shattered")

In 2372, Ensign Carson attempted to summon a medic when Captain Benjamin Sisko was wounded in a battle with the Jem'Hadar aboard the USS Defiant. However, communications were down, so she had to retrieve the medic herself and bring him to the bridge. (DS9: "Starship Down")

Orum served as a medic for the former Borg drones in the Cooperative. (VOY: "Unity")

Hirogen Alpha 2

A Hirogen medic in 2374

An Alpha Hirogen medic and his Beta were present to monitor the health and mental activity of Voyager's crewmembers when the Hirogen took over the starship in 2374 and forced the crew to partake in dangerous holodeck simulations. (VOY: "The Killing Game", "The Killing Game, Part II")
