25th century cadet 4

...as a Starfleet cadet

May Wang is an actress who appeared as a 25th century Starfleet cadet in the last Star Trek: Voyager episode "Endgame". As a background actress she received no on-screen credit for her appearance and was identified by the name tag of her costume which was sold off in the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]

Born in San Francisco, Wang later moved to Los Angeles where she trained in ballet, acting, piano, and martial arts. Her traditional father encouraged her to study in other areas. So as a dutiful daughter, she took honor classes in math, science and managed to squeeze additional training in theatre.

Wang landed the role of Xiao Fei in NYPD Blue (2001, episode "Fools Russian", alongside Tzi Ma, Gordon Clapp, Jamison Yang, and Michael Jace), and appeared in Friends (1996), Sci-Fi Network's The Chronicle (2001, episode "Here There Be Dragons", with George Takei), and Unsolved Mysteries (2002, episode "Without a Song").

Besides her television and film roles, she appeared in many stage productions, including Daniel Dae Kim's version of "King Lear" and in the role of Chin-Suzuki in the Tony award winning 'Best Play' "M Butterfly". Her additional credits include directing, producing and leading in the comedy 10,000 Apologies written by C.Y. Lee, Good Taste, Eminent Domain (2009), The Lesson Plan, the comedy The First $20 Million Is Always the Hardest (2002, with Dan Butler and Stephen Blackehart), the sequel Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002, with Clint Howard, Kelly Cooper, Angela Meryl, and Dan Warner), the short drama Joy in the Morning (2006), Aaseamah's Journey (2009) and in several commercials including the T-Mobile national campaign with Catherine Zeta-Jones in which she was the "You! You! You!, Ni Ni Ni Girl".

Wang played in the independent drama A Ribbon of Dreams with Clyde Kusatsu and Michael Krawic, produced by Diana Lee Inosanto and Ron Balicki), FOX's sitcom Do Not Disturb (2008) and the new 90210 (2008). Recently she worked with director Gail Mancuso and producer Bill Lawrence on Cougar Town (2009) as Lisa and then as Rhy Ming in The Gunrunner Billy Kane (2011).
