The master systems display table was a stand-alone console installation on board the USS Enterprise-D located in the engineering portion of the vessel. It was part of the master systems display units and featured a number of computer systems embedded within. It was the operational focus of the room. (Star Trek: The Next Generation)
As a concept, precursors of the master systems display table were already utilized as early as the mid-22nd century; The NX-class for example had very similar installations installed in the back of the bridges of its vessels, likewise serving as an operational focal point for its bridge personnel. Starbase 74 used a master systems display table in 2364 as well. (TNG: "11001001")
The Sovereign-class USS Enterprise-E also had a similar table located between the main entrance to engineering and the warp core. (Star Trek: Insurrection)
