Mary Kohnert is the actress who appeared as Ensign Tess Allenby in two sequential fourth season episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Her previous television credits included a first season episode of Freddy's Nightmares with fellow TNG guest stars Walter Gotell, Albert Hall, and Andrew Prine, and a final season episode of Hunter with Clint Howard and William Smithers.
She made her film debut with a supporting role in the 1987 comedy Valet Girls, co-starring Charles Cooper. She also appeared in the films Big Man on Campus (1989, with Armin Shimerman, Gerrit Graham, and Cynthia Gouw), L.A. Story (1991, with her TNG co-star Patrick Stewart), Mr. Baseball (1992, with Nicholas Cascone), and the 1992 made-for-TV movie Desperate Choices: To Save My Child with Bruce Davison, Bruce McGill, and Ron Canada.
