Mark Fred Miller (born 21 March 1948; age 66) is a visual effect artist and producer who founded and managed two visual effects companies, which were both deeply involved with live-action productions of the Star Trek franchise.

Miller co-founded the effects house Digital Magic, the post-production editing service company which was especially created in 1991 for The Next Generation at the start of its fifth season, and served as its president between 1998 and 2000. He left Digital Magic and founded the effects company Eden FX in July 2000 with John Gross. Eden FX was co-responsible for computer generated effects on the last season of Star Trek: Voyager and the first season of Star Trek: Enterprise, becoming the sole supplier of these effects for the last three seasons of the latter series.

Career outside Star Trek Edit

Mark Miller's earlier career included employment as Vice-President of Engineering for several post-production facilities including Prime Time Post and Compact Video and as Technical Director for the Paramount Television, where his assignments included such shows as All in the Family, Sonny and Cher, Carol Burnett, The Kennedy Center Honors, and Bob Hope in China. Directly prior to his involvemnet with Digital Magic, Miller served as President of Unitel Video Hollywood, a position he assumed after spending ten years as Executive V.P. of Engineering and Operations.

Mark Miller is currently still serving as CEO of Eden FX, which he and Gross sold in 2007 to the larger Point.360 company, though Eden FX kept its identity as a separate entity within the group. [1].
