An Earth colony in the Ficus sector, established in the early 22nd century.
The Mariposa was a colony ship, that when launched in 2132, had two crews aboard. The first crew was dropped off on Bringloidi V, to start an agricultural colony.
The other half of the crew was to start a technilogical colony on a class-m planet half a light year away. But when the ship went to land, the sking of the ship was breached, and only 5 colonists survived.
Since they knew 5 people couldn't sustain a society, and they were scientists, the turned to cloning. Future generations later refered to them as the "progeniters".
Due to the status of Earths government in the early 22nd century, the Mariposa and both the colonies were forgotten.
