Mariah IV was the fourth planet in the Mariah planetary system.
Along with Fahleena III and Ultima Thule, Mariah IV lay on the route taken by Valerian traders supplying weapons-grade dolamide to the Cardassians. (DS9: "Dramatis Personae")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pg. 46), the Mariah system was located in non-aligned space between the Cardassian Union and the Breen Confederacy, in the Alpha Quadrant. This was a binary star system. Primary was a Class F star with a magnitude of +3, which was ten times brighter than Sol. The secondary was a Class F star.
