On stage, Farley has performed in productions of the musicals Mame and Bye Bye Birdie as part of the Park Avenue Players.

She has collaborated with writer/director David Mamet on several occasions. She appeared in Mamet's 2004 film Spartan, along with Steven Culp, Matt Malloy, and Natalia Nogulich. Mamet also directed Farley in an episode FX's crime drama The Shield that same year. In 2006, Farley had a recurring role on Mamet's CBS drama series The Unit, on which Star Trek: Enterprise guest star Abby Brammell was a regular. Farley returned to this series for one episode in 2007, playing a different character.

In addition, Farley had a supporting role in the 2005 independent film Dual, which was named Best Independent Action Film at the Long Beach Action on Film International Film Festival. Farley then played the lead in the 2007 independent film God's Ears.
