Margaret C. Clark was a Starfleet officer with the rank of captain during the Dominion War.
In 2374, files from USS Cochrane, USS Wyoming, USS Nobel, Starbase 129, and Starbase 153 all stated Captain Clark was missing in action. A report from the USS Repulse reported her wounded in action. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight")
Clark's name appeared on the casualty list display seen multiple times on a computer readout in that episode. It is unclear exactly which of those ships was her home assignment.
The character was named after the Star Trek book editor Margaret Clark. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion, p. 556)
