Marcus Holt was a Starfleet admiral and commanding officer of starbase Deep Space 3, as well as a personal friend of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Holt contacted Picard in 2370 concerning the disappearance of the starship USS Hera, as the ship had recently visited DS3. Picard informed Holt that he informs Geordi La Forge, son of Captain Silva La Forge, commanding officer of the Hera. (TNG: "Interface")
