In that year, he spent at least two weeks avoiding the station's assay office (where his love interest Freyla worked) as he thought she was in love with Lieutenant Strek, although, according to Jadzia Dax, this was not the case, as Freyla was waiting for him to ask her out. (DS9: "Shadowplay")
