Manark IV was the fourth planet of the Manark system, in the Alpha Quadrant, and was the homeworld of the sand bats. Its location in the Milky Way Galaxy was depicted on a Federation star chart in 2293. In 2371, this planet appeared in the starchart Data and Picard were studying in Stellar Cartography. In the "The Explored Galaxy" star chart, Manark IV was located between the Tholian Assembly and Romulus. Both were identified in DS9: "Call to Arms" as being located in the Alpha Quadrant.
