The Lucasian Chair of Mathematics (also known as the Lucasian Professor) is the holder of a mathematical professorship at Cambridge University.

It was first endowed in 1663 at Cambridge as a result of a gift from Henry Lucas, a governmental representative from the area encompassing the university. The holder of the chair is appointed a full professor at Cambridge, and is granted a stipend generated by revenue from land also donated by Lucas, as well as access to the full library of Lucas (some 4,000 volumes) and the papers of all preceding occupiers of the position.

An honored position, the chair has been held by many of the most noted mathematicians and physicists in Earth history, including Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking.

In the anti-time future created by Q, Data held this position after his retirement from Starfleet. (TNG: "All Good Things...")
