Lovern Kindzierski is a comic book artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He holds a Fine Arts Degree with a minor in Film studies, and began working in the comic industry in early 1987 for Eclipse Comics. By the end of the year, he was doing color and letter work for DC Comics, and soon after published his first piece of comics writing in the Marvel Comics "Within Our Reach" anthology. In 1991, he helped found Digital Chameleon, a comic coloring company based out of his home town of Winnipeg.
In 1997 he wrote six issues of the ongoing "Tarzan" series for Dark Horse, garnering him a nomination for Best Writer at the following Harvey Awards. He was been recognized by the Comic Buyer's Guide survey as one of comics' most influential colorists of all time. In addition to his nomination for the writing Harvey award, he has been nominated several times as Best Colorist for both the Eisner and Harvey Awards.
He is also known as a painter, and prior to working in the comics industry, he worked for several years as a printer, courtroom sketch artist, and animator for the Children's Television Workshop.
