Louise Samuels was the wife of William Samuels, a Human colonist on Volan II. Together they had two daughters, born in 2356 and 2358.
When her husband, a Maquis member, had died in Cardassian captivity, Starfleet attache to the DMZ, Calvin Hudson had to tell Louise about his death. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part I")
