The Lost Cause was a proposed name for the vessel the USS Voyager acquired from Abaddon in 2376.

While repairing the vessel in Voyager's cargo bay, Ensign Tom Paris tried settling on a name for the ship. As the ship had multiple power failures and was generally considered to be useless, Harry Kim sarcastically suggested to name it the Lost Cause. After rejecting that, Paris finally named it Alice, after Alice Battisti, a woman who wouldn't give him the time of day. (VOY: "Alice")
