Lorit Akrem was an old friend of Kira Nerys'. Akrem had been in the Shakaar Resistence Cell during the Bajoran occupation. Some time during the occupation Akrem was arrested by the Cardassains. Akrem was on The Ravinok, a Cardassian ship taking Bajoran prisoners to Lissepia. The Rovinok was reportedly lost.
Razka Karn had contacted Kira in 2372 that he might have found pieces of The Ravinok. Kira and Dukat found that the crew and prisoners of ship were attacked by The Breen. The survivors of the wreck, one being Lorit Akrem were taken to work dilithium mines. Sadly Akrem was killed in a mine collapse in 2370.
