First Maje Loran was the leader of the Kazon-Hobii.

During Captain Janeway's attempt to form an alliance that would unite the Kazon sects, Loran was present at a meeting on Sobras. The meeting turned out to be a trap set by the Trabe Mabus, with whom Janeway had also allied. (VOY: "Alliances")
