Ligos VII was the uninhabited seventh planet in the Ligos planetary system. This planet was known to be prone to periodic volcanic activity. There were rich deposits of Vendarite on this planet.

During the mid-24th century, the planet was the location of a Federation science station, with a complement of 103 personnel.

In 2369, the station was briefly captured by DaiMon Lurin, a Ferengi privateer. The crew of the station were made to work as forced labor, extracting ore from dangerous mines on the planet. When Lurin's men captured the USS Enterprise-D, its crew was forced into slavery as well. (TNG: "Rascals")
