Lewis was a crewman on the USS Voyager during the ship's voyage across the Delta Quadrant.

In 2372, Lewis was one of a number of officers who participated in Tom Paris's gambling operation out of the Chez Sandrine holoprogram. Replicator rations were paid to play and whoever predicted what the radiogenic particle count would be at 1200 hours the following day won the rations of everyone who played, minus a small handling fee for the bank, i.e. Paris. Lewis's name was called out when the numbers were generated. (VOY: "Meld")
