Yeoman Leslie Thompson was a Starfleet crew member on the USS Enterprise, serving under Captain James T. Kirk.
Thompson was a member of the landing party that encountered the Kelvans on a Class M unnamed planet in 2268. Thompson was reduced to a dehydrated crystalline block by the Kelvan named Rojan to demonstrate his power to Kirk. Rojan crumbled the block in his hands, killing Thompson. (TOS: "By Any Other Name")
Thompson was played by actress Julie Cobb, who had the dubious distinction of being the only female redshirt to die in the classic series.
