Template:Realworld Laura Wood (18 August 1901 – 9 May 1982; age 80) was the actress who played two prematurely aged characters, the rapidly aged Enterprise crewmember in the first season episode of Star Trek: The Original Series "Charlie X", and rapidly aged Elaine Johnson in the second season episode "The Deadly Years".
Besides her Star Trek appearances, her other known television credits include guest appearances in an episode of 77 Sunset Strip, two episodes of The Rebel and an episode of Highway Patrol. She also appeared in the films Love Goddesses of Blood Island and This Sporting House.
Between 1970 and 1975, Wood was married to director, producer and actor Harry Kerwin.
