Background Information
Edit
- This issue featured the first appearance of the USS Defiant in comic form.
- When Ken Penders turned in his second batch of pages, Mark Paniccia contacted him asking him to be careful with his likenesses of Miles O'Brien. This struck Penders as odd, as Paniccia had previously "commented not only on how much he himself thought the likenesses were on the money, but that they wouldn't have any approval problems with Paramount Licensing because of them." Penders asked for more details and was told that the problems were in the first eight pages of the issue. As it turns out, Penders felt that the inking on the issue was substandard and the design of the issue was poorly done. [1]
