A laser micrometer was a specialized instrument used for non-contact measurement and control in use aboard NX-class starships.

In 2152, a member of Malcolm Reed's security team borrowed Charles Tucker's laser micrometer and took it to the armory. Tucker later asked Reed to return it. (ENT: "Singularity")
