Laser Media Rentals is a visual effects company specialized in the use of lasers and their effects. The company received credit for providing their technique to the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "The Nth Degree" in 1991. The company worked close with Wildfire/L.A. to create the effects of the neural scan interface. Employees Mathew Hanlen and Daryl worked on this episode.

Laser Media Rentals also worked on the sports comedy Racquet (1979), the comedy Cheech & Chong's Next Movie (1980), the horror film Altered States (1980), the science fiction adventure Starman (1984), the television series MacGyver (1985), the drama Showgirls (1995), the comic adaptation Tank Girl (1995, with Lori Petty and Malcolm McDowell), the comic adaptation Batman & Robin (1997), and the comedy Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001).
