Lang was an operations division Starfleet ensign assigned to USS Voyager in 2371, one of many crewpeople who manned that vessel through its perilous journey through the Delta Quadrant.
In 2373, she was unable to get a transporter lock on an away team whilst standing in for Ensign Harry Kim at ops. (VOY: "Blood Fever")
Later that year, Lang was temporarily promoted to chief of security and tactical, when the majority of the Voyager crew had been translocated to the Nyrian ship. (VOY: "Displaced")
In 2374, she manned the security console on the bridge while Tuvok was at a briefing. (VOY: "Year of Hell, Part I")
