L. Isao Telaka was a 24th century Starfleet officer and captain of the starship USS Lantree during the mid-2360s.
In 2365, he, and the rest of his crew, were killed following their visit to the Darwin Genetic Research Station on Gagarin IV. Telaka, who was only 30 years old at the time, died of premature aging caused by exposure to the antibodies of the genetically-engineered children at Darwin Station. (TNG: "Unnatural Selection")
Telaka was portrayed by an unknown actor (possibly Sid Melton (citation needed • edit)) and voiced by another unknown actor.
His age is estimated, based on Commander Riker's comment that "he was my age." An early draft of the final script stated that Telaka was 32 years old and that he had aged to the equivalent of that of a two-hundred-year old at the time of his death.
