Kre-O is a line of plastic construction toys similar to Lego and Mega Bloks toys (and fully compatible with those sets). The Kre-O line was distributed by Hasbro, starting in the Fall of 2011. The current toy lines are based on the Hasbro-related properties Transformers and Battleship.
Kre-O: Star Trek
In 2012, Hasbro made a press release announcing that they would be producing toys based on the Star Trek Into Darkness, including action figures, "role-play" accessories and a line of "Kre-O: STAR TREK" sets. Preliminary images were included including Kreons (the Kre-O equivalent of "Lego People" figures) of Kirk, Spock and Sulu, as well as a kit of the U.S.S. Enterprise with flip-up Primary hull including the ship's Bridge. Additionally, a preview video was released that re-enacts the "teaser trailer" of Star Trek, with the Kre-O Enterprise being built by Kreon construction workers.
