Kolax was a Klingon man that lived in the mid-24th century. He married Talij, and had a son, Kohlar. He died some time prior to 2377.
Like his father, Amar, and his father before him, Kolax was the commanding officer of a K't'inga-class battle cruiser that was crewed by a religious sect that was searching for the kuvah'magh.
Kohlar said a daily Plea for the Dead to honor Kolax in Sto-vo-kor. (VOY: "Prophecy")
