The tricorder was used by Klingons in 2285.
Kruge's crew used tricorders during their attempt to learn the secrets of the Genesis Planet. (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)
Members of the Bajoran Resistance also used Klingon tricorders during the Occupation of Bajor. (DS9: "Shakaar")
