Kim H. Friedman directed ten episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager from 1995 to 1997.

Friedman also directed episodes of Alice, Knots Landing, Dynasty, The Love Boat, Babylon 5, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Beverly Hills, 90210 and the L.A. Law episode "Handroll Express", for which Friedman was nominated for the "Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series" Emmy Award.
