Chief Kelso was a transporter chief on board the USS Enterprise-D in the 2360s.
In 2369, Kelso was on duty when the Enterprise-D visited the particle fountain in orbit of Tyrus VIIa. He later beamed the exocomps aboard the station and two of them back after Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge returned. (TNG: "The Quality of Life")
Kelso was played by J. Downing.
The character was named by Naren Shankar in homage to Lee Kelso, from TOS: "Where No Man Has Gone Before". (Star Trek Encyclopedia)
