Keenser was an alien Starfleet officer.

In 2258 of the alternate reality, Keenser was working with Montgomery Scott at an automated Federation outpost on Delta Vega. He was Scott's only company for months before Spock and Jim Kirk arrived.

Scott often belittled and berated Keenser, particularly regarding Keenser's tendency to climb up on things. It was clear that they were fond of each other, however; Keenser, in particular, was saddened when Scott transported with Kirk to the USS Enterprise.

After the Enterprise successfully defeated Nero and the Narada, Keenser joined the Enterprise crew as an engineer under Montgomery Scott. (Star Trek)

Background information Edit

The name of Keenser's species was not revealed. The script of the film Star Trek introduces the character by describing him simply as "a small, dark, oddly alien creature." [1]

Keenser was played by Deep Roy. He was glad that the character was granted the opportunity to go aboard the Enterprise. [2]

Keenser appeared in the Esurance automobile insurance company flash game "Delta Vega: Meltdown on the Ice Planet (β)," where he was rescued by Esurance advertising mascot Erin Esurance.
