Keela flowers

Keela flowers

Keela flowers were a variety of flowers native to the Delta Quadrant.

They were a remarkably strong plant; their stems were flexible and impossible to break. But occasionally on the same plant there was a bloom whose stem was not as flexible and broke easily.

In 2371, Neelix compared those rigid and inflexible keela flowers to Lieutenant Tuvok, saying his unyielding teaching style was incompatible with the individual personalities of USS Voyager's new Maquis crew members that the Vulcan was tasked with getting up to speed. (VOY: "Learning Curve")
