Kavaria was a planet located near the Badlands and the Dreon system, though the Dreon system was even closer to the Badlands. Kavaria was the homeworld of the Kavarian tiger-bat.

In 2372 Jake Sisko was doing some research for a story that included a Kavarian tiger-bat, and tried to find out how it smelt. She suggested that Quark might know someone who had been there. (DS9: "For the Cause")
