Kathleen Garrett is an award-winning actress who appeared twice on Star Trek. She first played a Vulcan captain in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Vortex". Seven years later, she guest-starred in Star Trek: Voyager's "Muse" as Tanis, the stage actor who portrayed Captain Kathryn Janeway.

In 1984 Garrett made recurring appearances on the short-lived HBO comedy series The Investigators, starring Charles Rocket.
