For the legendary Klingon with a similar sounding name, please see Kahless the Unforgettable.

Kahlest was a Klingon and ghojmoK, or nurse to the infant Worf in the 24th century.

At the time of the Romulan attack on Khitomer in 2346, Kahlest was on the planet along with Worf and his father, Mogh. Kahlest survived the attack and was transported by the USS Intrepid to the biomedical facility at Starbase 24 for treatment. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was unaware that Worf had survived and that he may have been aboard the starship.

Kahlest's medical file seen in "Sins of the Father" falsely reads Starbase 23 and not Starbase 24, despite Dr. Crusher clearly saying the latter.

Later, that year, with the assistance of the Klingon Counsulate at the Theta Amano Trade Center, she embarked aboard a ship bound for her homeworld of Qo'noS.

In 2366, when Worf's brother Kurn came aboard the USS Enterprise-D to inform him that their father would soon be branded a traitor, Worf returned to Qo'noS and re-encountered Kahlest who verified Kurn's story.

At one point in her life Kahlest was the object of affection of K'mpec but she refused his advances because she found him "too fat". (TNG: "Sins of the Father")

Kahlest was portrayed by actress Thelma Lee.
