K'Nera

K'Nera was a commander in the Klingon Defense Forces.

In 2364, he commanded a Klingon Template:ShipClass battle cruiser sent to capture three rogue Klingons who had stolen a Talarian freighter that had destroyed the Klingon cruiser IKS T'Acog.

He demanded that Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise-D hand over the criminals to him after the Enterprise rescued them from the damaged freighter.

Lieutenant Worf argued that they should not be executed, but allowed to die with honor. K'Nera agreed, but told Worf he was under orders. However, the criminals were killed trying to escape from the brig on the Enterprise. K'Nera was impressed by Worf, and offered him a place on his ship when his tour on the Enterprise was over, but Worf politely refused. (TNG: "Heart of Glory")
