Joy Hooper is a stuntwoman and stunt actress who performed stunts in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and worked as stunt double for Whoopi Goldberg in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "I Borg" for which she filmed her stunts scenes with John Nowak on Tuesday 10 March 1992 and Wednesday 11 March 1992 on Paramount Stage 9. She also worked as stunt double for Whoopi Goldberg in the first episode of the sixth season, "Time's Arrow, Part II".

Among her stunt resume are films such as Angel Heart (1987, with Mark L. Taylor), Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989, with David Graf, Matt McCoy, Kenneth Mars, Gerrit Graham, Arthur Batanides, Angelo Tiffe, Dennis Ott, Darryl Henriques, and stunts by Janet Brady, Eugene Collier, Tommy J. Huff, Maria R. Kelly, Scott Leva, and Irving E. Lewis), Predator 2 (1990), Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), The Killing Box (1993, with Corbin Bernsen and Ray Wise), Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead (1994), and The Scarlet Letter (1995, with Diane Salinger).
