Joseph F. Crater was a judge who disappeared in the early 20th century under mysterious circumstances.
A lot of people spent decades trying to figure out the mystery of what happened to Crater. However, according to Travis Mayweather, the mystery of his disappearance, as well as the mysterious disappearance of Amelia Earhart, did not hold a candle to the disappearance of the Terra Nova colony. Joseph F. Crater was an associate justice for the New York State Supreme Court who disappeared without trace on the evening of August 6, 1930. A massive search for the missing man proved unsuccessful and Crater's disappearance became one of the most famous unsolved mysteries in United States of America history.
