John Warner (born 3 December 1952; age 60) is a comic book author, best known for his work on Gold Key's Flash Gordon series.

Throughout his career, he also worked for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and Warren Publications, on a variety of titles, including Captain America, Doc Savage, Rampaging Hulk, and Son of Satan.

He wrote two issues of the Gold Key Star Trek series, but the publication was canceled before the book could be published. Frank Bolle was scheduled to be the artist for the book, and nineteen lettered and completed with pencil breakdowns but were never delivered.
