John Warburton (18 June 190327 October 1981; age 78) was an actor who played the Romulan centurion in the Star Trek: The Original Series first season episode "Balance of Terror". He filmed his scenes on Wednesday 27 July 1966 and Thursday 28 July 1966 at Desilu Stage 9.

Warburton was born in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. As a teenager, he studied for the ministry at Oxford and served in the British army during World War I. He came to the United States as a stowaway on a freighter and began acting in New York City. His Broadway career was followed by a long career of playing supporting roles in films, starting in 1932, and later television.

Warburton made numerous appearances in the 1956 western television series Judge Roy Bean, each time playing a different character. His motion picture credits include Charlie Chan's Greatest Case (1933), The Sisters (1938), The White Cliffs of Dover (1944, with Ian Wolfe), Confidential Agent (1945, also with Ian Wolfe), The Valley of Decision (1945, with Dean Stockwell), Saratoga Trunk (1945, with John Abbott), From the Terrace (1960, with Bill Quinn), King Rat (1965), and Funny Girl (1968, with Mittie Lawrence).

Warburton was married five times. He retired from acting in the 1970s and passed away due to cancer in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, on 27 October 1981.
