John Micklos, Jr. is an children's author and poet. He has written several books of family poetry including Mommy Poems, Daddy Poems, and Grandparent Poems. In 1998, he wrote a biography of Leonard Nimoy for Dillon Press titled Leonard Nimoy: A Star's Trek aimed at children in grades 3-6.
By 2008 he had become the editor in chief of Reading Today, the newspaper of the International Reading Association.
