John Eddins is the actor who portrayed the Xindi-Reptilian commander in the Star Trek: Enterprise third season episode "The Shipment".

Eddins is probably best known for his recurring role as Agent Richards in the second season of the television series 24 (2002-2003), where he appeared alongside fellow Star Trek performers Billy Burke, Michelle Forbes, Harris Yulin, Penny Johnson, Freda Foh Shen, Jude Ciccolella, Michael McGrady, Tracy Middendorf, Daniel Dae Kim, Steven Culp, and Faran Tahir.

Prior to his role in 24, he had guest roles in In the Heat of the Night (1993), Law & Order (1999), The Sopranos (1999), Strangers with Candy (1999, with Larc Spies), Angel (2000, with Sam Anderson, Todd Stashwick, and Susan Savage), and Robbery Homicide Division (2002), and played supporting roles in the comedy Life Without Dick (2002, with Teri Garr, Geoffrey Blake, Brigid Brannagh, Holmes Osborne, and Ian Patrick Williams) and in the drama King Rikki (2002, with F.J. Rio).

Further television roles include episodes of CSI: Miami (2003, with Geoff Meed and Kenny Alexander), Karen Sisco (2003), Without a Trace (2004, with Enrique Murciano), Judging Amy (2004), Medium (2005, with Bruce Gray and Wallace Langham), Las Vegas (2007, with Michael McGrady), and Criminal Minds (2007). Film roles include Steven Spielberg's drama The Terminal (2004, with Zoe Saldana, Jude Ciccolella, Michael Nouri, Bob Morrisey, and Justin Rodgers Hall), Spielberg's science fiction remake War of the Worlds (2005, with Stephen Gevedon, Dendrie Taylor, Ricky Luna, Art Chudabala, Josef Cannon, and Rachelle Roderick), the short science fiction film Tomorrow (2007), and more recently the action comedy Get Smart (2008, with Dwayne Johnson and Ivy Bethune).
