John Eaves was a Starfleet engineering division officer who worked on the construction of the USS Enterprise-B. (Star Trek Generations set artwork)

He would later be part of the spaceframe development team that assisted in the construction of the USS Enterprise-E. (Star Trek films set artwork)

Eaves's name was listed on the dedication plaque of the Enterprise-B and -E. He was named for John Eaves, the designer of several Star Trek ships including the Enterprise-B and -E.
