John M. Dwyer was a Starfleet captain in the 24th century.

Dwyer was part of the Engineering Group which helped design and construct the starship USS Enterprise-D. His name was listed on the dedication plaque of that vessel when it was commissioned in 2363. (Star Trek: The Next Generation)

He was listed on the dedication plaque of the USS Enterprise-E when it was commissioned in 2372 as part of the Systems Management group. (Star Trek: First Contact)
