John Austin is an actor who appeared as a regular background actor, an operations division Starfleet officer, in several episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. As a background actor, Austin received no credit for his work and was identified by two name tags of his costumes, sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay [1] [2] as well as the call sheet for the episode "Hope and Fear", filmed on 27 February 1998.

In addition he portrayed a Krenim in the Voyager episodes "Year of Hell" and "Year of Hell, Part II". His costume from these episodes was also sold off on eBay and later re-used by background actor Erick Hunter in the episode "Tsunkatse". [3]

Austin also appeared in the TV show 24, in its sixth season.
