Jim Amash is a comic book artist from Pennsylvania who specializes in inking. He holds a Masters Degree in Fine Art from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and became a comic book artist in 1992. Before entering the industry, he ran Acme Comics for nine years and hosted seven comic conventions.

During his time in the industry, Amash has worked with all of the major publishers, including Marvel and DC, and has also worked on a large number of Archie related comics.

He is currently an associate editor/head interviewer of Alter Ego magazine, a magazine dedicated to the Golden and Silver Ages of comics. In addition to this, he has written three biography books including John Romita and All That Jazz, Sal Buscema: Comics' Fast and Furious Artist, and his most recent one, Carmine Infantino: Penciler, Publisher, Provocateur.

His only Star Trek work was inking the story "Good Listener" in DC's TNG Special 1.
