Jeff M. was a child who was an inhabitant of the Omicron Theta colony in the late 2330s.
He drew a painting of the Crystalline Entity attacking the colony. His painting shows an unusual method of feeding by the entity. Jeff's painting was hung next to paintings by other children in Dr. Noonian Soong's laboratory. (TNG: "Datalore")
Unlike the beam depicted in John B.'s painting and as seen in "Silicon Avatar", people are pulled from the planet's surface as if by a giant vacuum.
