Jeff Lester (born 4 May 1955; age 59) is the actor and filmmaker who portrayed the FBI interrogator in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

Lester was born in Orange County, California and started his acting career in the early '80s with appearances in the television series Walking Tall (1981, with Whit Bissell, Charles Napier, William Windom, and Dey Young), Lou Grant (1981), Joanie Loves Chachi (1982), and Simon & Simon (1983-1984, with Leslie Ackerman, Lloyd Haynes, Monte Markham, and William Windom). Prior to his Star Trek appearance, Lester had a supporting role in the thriller The Little Drummer Girl (1984).

Lester's further television credits include episodes of Once a Hero (1987, with Rif Hutton and Richard Lynch), Matlock (1989, with Casey Biggs and Christopher McDonald), Over My Dead Body (1991, with Rick Fitts and Carolyn Seymour), Seinfeld (1991, with Jason Alexander), Growing Pains (1992), and Baywatch (1990 and 1992, with Monte Markham, Susan Diol, and James Sloyan), as well as the horror thriller In the Cold of the Night (1991, with Brian Thompson, John Beck, David Soul, and Jack Kehler).

Beginning in the '90s, Lester decided to work behind the camera and served as executive producer, writer, and director for several commercials, stage productions, and films such as the short western The Last Real Cowboys (2000), the thriller Broken (2006), the short drama Mr. President (2007), and the short film Speed of Life (2008). For this work, he received several awards, including Summit Awards, Addy Awards, and Telly Awards.

Since 1992, Lester is married to actress Susan Anton, who also served as producer on some of his films.
